the outage happened just before 2:00 this morning after a car struck a power pole on at worst ave. the crash knocked down both the pole and power lines. 6800 customers were rigidly without power. if pg&e expects full restoration with an hour. >> a san francisco won and will be arraigned today on charges of vehicular manslaughter that killed one pedestrian and injured two others in the twin peaks area. 56 year-old died last week. after a crash hit her at twin peaks lookout point. police said that the driver was intoxicated. the victim's son told us that he does know one another family to suffer through the

a sierra nevada ski resort patrol team who was injured after being caught in an avalanche has died. alpine meadows say that yesterday at 53 year-old bill foster died in a reno hospital. foster was buried in a slide that had been intentionally set with an explosive device by a senior member of the ski patrol team. the tin was do in an avalanche control an area on the backside of the resort. resort officials say that the avalanche broke much higher and water on the slope been in the past snow safety missions. sierra nevada skiers enjoy a fresh blanket of snow on christmas. an avalanche warning was placed on the lake tahoe area yesterday it is expiring this morning.
